News Togo joins the Maschinenringe network

As part of their ongoing cooperation in Senegal - where 16 women's groups in the Matam region are being supported as part of the EDM project in partnership with Maschinenring Senegal - the Urbis Foundation and the Maschinenring Foundation are continuing their commitment to sustainable agricultural development in West Africa.
Since May 2025, the Urbis Foundation, with the technical expertise of the Maschinenring Foundation, has been supporting the implementation of a pilot project to establish two local machinery rings in the central region of Togo (Sokodé).
These two structures have now been set up in the villages of Koboyo and Tchalo. The first farmers have already taken part in introductory training courses. The local teams are currently working on delivering the first agricultural machinery.
The aim of the pilot project is to strengthen the capacities of smallholder farmers, improve access to mechanization services and promote more resilient and cooperative agriculture through the establishment of machinery rings.
