News Solar energy and entrepreneurship courses in Dapaong
As part of a Bengo project, the URBIS FOUNDATION and its local partners Mivo Energie and Entrepreneurs du Monde have conducted a series of training courses in solar technology and entrepreneurship in Dapaong in northern Togo.
The participants, 74 local entrepreneurs and students of dual training programmes, were able to acquire basic knowledge in the functioning and construction of autonomous photovoltaic systems as well as in the maintenance and marketing of solar technology. For this purpose the local vocational school was equipped with a solar trainer.
The courses are part of the Bengo project "Solar Academy and Pilot Project Net-Metering" financed by Engagement Global. As previously reported, the project aims to provide further training for pupils and entrepreneurs and at the same time build a net-metering facility for demonstration purposes.
